Veredas means ‘hinterland trails’ in Portuguese and in Spanish. In the spirit of charting global pathways to a home-away-from-home, the Verdedas Institute is the bridge between undergraduate students and opportunities for professional, personal and inter-personal growth in Brazil and Guatemala.

We are now receiving applications for the Remote Internship Program of 2023 Brazil. The applications for Veredas Summer of 2023 Guatemala and Brazil programs are now closed.
Internships are complemented by individualized mentorship to build professional skills to help build intern’s careers.
Interns are provided with pre-screened housing with homestay families, shared apartments, or student residences.
Immersion in Brazilian and Guatemalan culture through walking tours, group outings, cultural activities, and a weekend fieldtrip.
Intern safety is ensured through welcome orientation and information sessions, on-site support, periodic group meetings with local coordinator as well as individual meetings and social and cultural liaisons.
